Observe the migratory and native birds

The province of Gaditana offers in its Parks and Natural Spaces countless moments to observe a wide variety of birds in their natural environment. (Osprey and Short-toed Eagle, Owl, Mochuelo, Bee-eater, Goldfinch ...).

Given the good climate and its geographical situation, with the proximity of the African continent, the Strait of Gibraltar becomes a natural spectacle of thousands of migratory birds.

Many of these migratory birds can be observed during their long journey from northern Europe and southern Africa when they rest in the province and waiting for the opportunity to cross the strait. (Griffon Vulture, White and Black Stork, Common Crane, Common Coot ...).

A large number of these birds nest and raise their small offshoots in the province, such as the Vulture Buzzard of which there are known about 600 nests.
